Great insight about gouache! I love the opacity of the medium but still struggle when mixing colours in gouache, I find it easier when using watercolours 🤷🏼♀️
I think gouache gets muddy WAY easier, maybe the effect of having white in each color? I found I liked it more when I had more premixed colors but it’s a huge investment to have so many!

Yes, probably that's the reason! I end using so much pigment to get the colour I wish 🤭
I'm inspired to try gouache again...LOVE the look, but never got the hang of it, especially blending.
Also, yay! and thanks! and mwah! for the nice words and mention.
You’re the best!!! ❤️
I love Turner's vermillion acrylic gouache! It's SO bright! A camera or scanner could never capture it!
Omggg I am such a sucker for non scannable colors (fluorescents especially)
Awesome! Not ready to get into a new medium yet, but excited to see another deep dive!
The temptation is always there for new media for me!! It’s dangerous!
I've never heard of SUI Gouache and now I might have to try it! Thanks for this great deep dive on paint!
Ooo yes! I really do think they’ve curated a great set of colors. Amazon has some w no shipping to US too
