This story had me from beginning to end. It made me relive some of my own church camp experiences… and happy I missed out on others. There was a year a hiking group disturbed a ground bee nest. I was lucky to not be in that group.
Ashlyn, this was an insane read! Hahahaha wow! I felt like I was going through camp along with you. I absolutely loved the "what could possibly go wrong" attitude that the teenagers had. Every time things got better it got worse.

Great story! I hated my childhood wilderness camping experiences. Much preferred computer camp.
Seth Rogan tells a similarly harrowing camping story in his very funny memoir Yearbook. I recommend the audiobook.
